सफ़र ने दिए हैं इतने ज़ख्म राही को
अब कहे तो कहे वो क्या इलाही को

गर वो देखता है सब, तो ये कैसे हुआ
देखा नहीं फिर क्यूं, उसकी तबाही को

शिकायत में उससे कुछ भी नहीं लिखा
ज़ाया नहीं करता, वो यूं ही स्याही को

भूले से ना करना इश्क़, है मशवरा उसका
साबित कर नहीं पाओगे अपनी बेगुनाही को

उसके तजुर्बों को रखना तुम एक तरफ
और रखना एक तरफ सबकी गवाही को

टूट कर बिखरना हो कमज़र्फ को मुबारक
है मुश्किलों से लड़ना, हर वक्त सिपाही को

चाँद को हुस्न, गुलाबों को नज़ाकत दी है,
उसने मिट्टी को भी माँ कि सूरत दी है।
चाहता तो हूँ कि तेरे साथ कटे उम्र मगर,
जिंदगी ने चंद ही लम्हो कि इज़ाज़त दी है।
