Thoughts, emotions,
And tribulations,
No one is entirely original.
As it happens, your real goal
Is to synchronize souls
By highlighting
The striking semblance
Amidst the quotidian chaos.

A rose dies, kept buried in diary
between the pages and words,
ceasing its fragrance and beauty,
deceased.
Either 'cause it loved, or it was loved,
for, either loving took all the love in it, even with
groans, rose gave it. Or it's love sucked the juice it
had, leaving the rose with parched memories.
I fear if same will happen in our love,
just because I don't wanna write poems and
keep them on my sides, and me,
lying in between them, dying my death,
more painful one— just like that rose did.

Sorry, do I look like a mangy reptilian to you?
Do the scars of my body frighten you?
Frowzy burnt skin make you want to puke?
Obtund appendages make you feel pity for me?
And glabrous scalp make you realise that I don't belong to your coterie?
Regardless, the beauty standard codes borne out of a pigeonhole
Mutilating my conscious won't be an easy task for I possess a robust mind with a beguiling soul.

And if each time the waves
come to take up some sand
and the oceans give it home,
why can't we be happy, taking
others within and let them feel
home, with us?

Old-age home!
