অলিগলির ভাঁজে
পরিযায়ী স্মৃতি যত
আজ তাকেই খোঁজে।

Mere seher mein vyapar kam
aur dhandha jyada hota hai

मेरे शहर में व्यापार कम और धंधा ज्यादा होता है

Bengal mein Bengali kam
or gaaliya jyada hoti hai

This city smells like
Jhaal Muri mixed with
a variety of culture with
thousand different Souls
Some of are little sweet
or little sour and some
are of spicy too....

জানি, এখন -
শরীরটাই শুধু ঘরবন্দি,
মন পড়ে আছে বাইরে।
আর ক'টা দিন এমনভাবেই সাবধানে থাক।

দেখবি, কোনো এক সকালে খবর পাবি -
আমরা এই ''আতঙ্কের শহর'' ধ্বংস করে
ফিরে পেয়েছি -
আমাদের "আনন্দের শহর: কলকাতা"কে।

ভালোবেসে ফেলেছি,
আর,অবাক চোখে দেখেছি,
তোমার আকাশ ছোঁয়া অহংকারী ইমারত,
ফিলামেন্টের আলোয় ভেজা রাজপথ।
ল্যাম্পপোস্টে ঘেরা শহর কলকাতা,
তোমার বুকে সৃষ্টি হয় হাজারো গল্পকথা.....

Hail storm and drizzlings throughout April and early days of May mark the advent of summer in Calcutta. Weather of Calcutta is much like me it's unpredictable and doesn't make sense on most of the days. That's the characteristic weather of the city. To love Calcutta is to feel it , you can feel it running through your arteries and veins, it's not easy to leave the city after living here for sometimes,the city and its intellectual fever gets on your nerves Wherever you go a part of city will always remains with you.
This lockdown has changed the flavour, sequestered markets and deserted roads are not falling to the charms of city. As if the city is feeling the frustration of a caged soul.
As Freud said most of our emotions are in the realm of unconscious and do not often cross the threshold of consciousness. My love for my city and the gloom for it lost charm is inexpressible which can only be felt.

दीवाना है लोग अठे कचौड़ी रा
बड़ा मीठा है लोग अठे वाणी रा
हर दिन है त्यौहार अठे
बड़ा दिलदार है लोग अठे
देसानेे में माँ करणी
कोडाणे में भैरूजी विराजे
भक्ता रा सदा ही काज साजे
भुजिया पापड़ रसगुल्ला अठे री पहचान है
बीकाणो म्हारी जान है
