The
small room
was lit by a single
candle. That flickering
flame was their
only source

It grew dimmer every
moment as the wax
melted down . Their
wicks were almost
burnt right down to
the bottom and the
wax was running out,
but that was all the
poor family could
afford . In an instant
they all were left
in utter darkness.

It's ancient, mysterious & eerie to her.
Straining & then lulling.
Flickers of light & shadows
playfully dance around her.
Ghosts of the past whispering
secrets of lost knowledge.
A writer's soothing words
emanate fantasies, truths
& unspoken emotions only
she can understand.
Here in solitude & candlelight,
a reverie begins to blossom
& thrive in her mind.

ख्वाहिशों की मोमबत्ती मरते दम तक जलाते हैं लोग .
पर वक्त वक्त पर पिघलना भी पड़ता है ..
रोशनी देकर दूसरों को खुद जलना भी पड़ता है जनाब ...
