Why dot grid notebooks...

Factually: They give right amount of freedom to write and draw creatively,
as compared to blank, lined or grid sheets, specially for a noobie.

Philosophically: Dot represents singularity, and one can move in any direction from it.
They give a good starting point, which is sometimes necessary, especially for a beginner.
