करके इजहार एक दूजे को,
आओ एक वक़्फ़े के लिए,
एक दूसरे का तमाम हो जाते हैं,
जो मिल जाए तुमसे हसीन या बेहतरीन,
तो फिर हम एक दूजे से अन्जान

यही तो ख़ासियत है इस्लाम की...

वुज़ू का पीनी मुँह में लेकर भी,
उसका एक बूंद भी नहीं पीते हैं,
वरना रोज़ा टूट जाएगा।
कुछ इस तरह है हमें अल्लाह का ख़ौफ।

और तुम अपनी बात करते हो,
चलो छोड़ो।
तुम्हारा सबसे ख़ौफनाक अवतार भी हमें डरा नहीं पाएगा।

क्योंकि,
हम मोहब्बत भी उसी से करते हैं,
इबादत भी उसी का करते हैं,
और ख़ौफ भी सिर्फ उसी का है।।
