Moth to a flame

I longed for money, far and wide,
Not knowing it lived deep inside.
I chased and ran, it slipped away,
Like shadows fleeing light of day.

I gathered skills, I learned, I grew,
But something deeper called me too.
The skills all whispered, soft and wise,
“First meet yourself—go look inside.”

I saw the dance—of shame and greed,
Of guilt and pain, of endless need.
Of anger buried, sadness still—
A heart that ached, a silent will.

But then, beneath that heavy tune,
I found the joy, a brighter moon.
Abundance swirled in goldend streams,
It lived within my quiet dreams.

What we seek in the world outside
Is in the soul we often hide.
To dive within, I sought some light
The Divine held me through the night.

I met myself, I healed the past,
And slowly, joy began to last.
Now money comes, not as a chase,
But as a gift of inner grace.
