मेरा जब-जब साथ छोड़ा जग ने,
हर वक्त साथ निभाया तुमने।
मैं जब-जब लड़खड़ाई,
तब-तब सम्भाला तुमने।

मेरी छोटी सी खुशी के लिए भी,
अपनी जेब...का आखिरी सिक्का भी निकाला तुमने।
हाँ, मेरी गलतियों पर डांटा तुमने,
और अच्छे-बुरे का फर्क भी समझाया तुमने।

मैं जब-जब गिरी,
हाथ बढ़ाया तुमने।
और मेरे बहते आँसूओं को पोछ कर,
मुझे हंसाया भी तुमने।

मुझे मेरी बेवकूफियों पर,
हंसना सिखाया भी तुमने।
