CHAPTER 13

I would start from the very beginning. Mr. Patel was married twice and Pritak was his son from his second-wife. His first wife was my mother's close friend. He used to torture her(first wife) each and everyday when he used to return from his duty. My mother used to hear the cry of her pain when Mr. Patel used to cross his limits in order to prove his authority in the house. Not only he used to beat her, he used to shout like demon and often used slang words for her.
‎How could a lady who was so gentle and elegant could tolerate this?
The lady never mentioned these ill-happenings with her to anyone in the neighbourhood. But the truth cannot be hidden. My mother often used to ask her - What was wrong with Mr. Patel ? She didn't had any answer for this query.
Finally, one day the lady couldn't tolerate anymore, her self-respect asked her to sacrifice and she ran through the stairs reaching the terrace and she didn't wait for a moment or looked back. She couldn't overwhelmed her sorrow this time and as a result she took a drastic step to end her life. She jumped from the terrace.

Unbelievable but yet forced to be simple
Anu was unbelievable. Even when she was good in music and all, she wasn't allowed to sing or dance. She used be sad because of her condition. She didn't understand why was her life like this? There would have been a reason if she wasn't good, but she was great.
Anu always topped in the class and that too without any tuitions.
Her life allowed her to frame some of her experiences into poems and stories but she used to put a happy end to her stories.
She was the favourite student of maximum teachers.
If she had such great abilities, was she kess than any boy? Wasn't she better than many boys? Then why shall she be treated so badly for being a girl?

Unbelievable but yet forced to be simple
Anu was unbelievable. Even when she was good in she wasn't encouraged by her father but her mother encouraged her.
This made many other people of her family intolerant to her. She was scolded for very small reasons because she was studying.
I can't yet understand what was her fault. Was it her fault that she was a girl? Was it her fault that she was beautiful? Was it her fault that she was talented?
According to me there wasn't any fault of hers, it was the fault of the society, it was the fault of the mentality of the people and it was the fault of discrimination.

#Chapter13: Dark Truth

"Rohan, I know it is a tough time for you and not sure at what stage you will receive this letter. But by the time you will get this letter, I will be far from your reach to help you out. It's not that I don't want to, but can't risk my family anymore just like the other day, when I came rushing to your apartment to astray you; with my father on gun point. I thought you would read my body language and my fear, but you were entangled more into the reports, leaving everything unperceived.

Sorry for lying to you that day, I didn't have an option at all. But I always wanted to bring the truth to you since the day Pooja told me everything she found.

She was an intern with us and with time we became close friends. Sumit and Rathi were child hood friends and Rathi was dating Pooja. Few months back, one day she called me up in the middle of the night, crying louder than rains as she found the rape reports in Rathi's cabinet​ with a suicide note directly accusing Rathi and Sumit.

He said "Geet I know how it feels when your mom is not with you, when you need. I know how you felt on every mother's day. I know you wanted your mom while you were growing like every other teen girl. I have been somewhere responsible for all your loss for all these years. And I don't want you to go through this anymore. At least not from my side. I love you more than anybody." I was crying. He realized his responsibility towards me. We had decided to see few PG for our rooms. There were few that we had shortlisted to interview today. Out of those we choose two girls as PGs. Dad and I were ok with them. I asked dad to do some accounts for next treatments. He told me there wasn't any need for that. I was shocked, I thought maybe he will not go for therapies now. I would have to convince him a lot. But on the contradicting side he said he had saved 10 lakhs. I laughed. He looked at me and then he showed me his Fixed deposit receipt. He said "I am a father of a beautiful daughter and I had saved it for your wedding. I know I have been in mess for few years but I always remembered my responsibilities." I gave dad a tight hug and went to bed with positive thoughts.

All her sleep went away when she saw him as she opened the door. He was carrying a big box wrapped in a golden gift paper. He had also brought flowers for her. She was in her pyjamas and a loose tee with her hair all tied up. The first thing she did was that she let her hair loose and adjusted her attire to look a little presentable. Height of her happiness made her uncourteous and he had to ask her whether he could come in. She realised they were standing on the door. She apologized and asked him to come in. The room was in mess with her clothes and books all around. She made place for him to sit. He got comfortable and told her that she was his lucky charm and the work for which he had gone to pune was all set in his favour. She was blushing on his comment. He also told her that he missed her a lot. She said she too had missed him,where he brought Ravi's topic in their conversation. She then starting telling him about Ravi and their school friendship and family acquaintance. He interrupted her saying that too much of Ravi was happening and he was not liking. He added that it was not right on her side to have met Ravi in his absence. She went mum and tears rolled down

Part 3
"Hope saves"
It was 6.10, when Ashwin and shalini was arguing, the door bell rang. On hearing the sound, Shalini was confused. Mohan ran towards the door, while he was about to reach, Shalini took the gun turned to shoot him. But Ashwin pushed her, and the trigger got released. The bullet hit Mohan's leg, behind his right knee. He fell by pushing the door.
Finally, the boy was at the entrance when the door opened with the cop. As soon as door opened, Shalini tried to ran but Ashwin catched her and pushed towards police. They caught her and then the home was finally under control of police. Police took her to their station.
Anand and Mohan was immediately hospitalized. They both were safe and was enough conscious to talk. At that moment, the trio felt like they got freedom. During that time, Ashwin said,"Finally we are free from her. I never expected that our past will knock our doors and will bring this to us". But yet he wasn't happy, because Anand lost his finger. Still he felt peace, because of the end of Shalini's crime.

Part C - 'Who is pro and who is con?'
On Siddharth's question Rajiv at first hesitated and then said, "Sidd, it was that guy, remember whom we hired to do research on our competitors. Ya he researched on Mr. Naman tejasvi partially. So i told him that, once he give me all the details, i will pay him double. Why what you thought?"
"No, nothing i just asked, nothing much. Okay i got some work i have to go" replied Siddharth and went to his cabin.
After few minutes, he called a guy and said, "You got a work. Do it as fast as possible and get every details from the beginning of that person, I have already sent you that person's photo "

Part 2
"Hope never dies"
Trio wanted to end this, but shalini wasn't going to end easily. The main reason behind this torture was to let them knew the real pain.
Ashwin decides in mind to die for his friends. Whereas Anand also decides the same, but Mohan was just hoping for that boy. So he decides to fight with his friends in order to take time from shalini.
Mohan scolds and uses harsh words. Eventually Ashwin & Anand get to know about his plan.That fight, proved their friendship and love once again for each other. The trio continued fighting till the clock turned 6.
At first shalini enjoyed the fight, because breaking their bond was also a part of her plan. But when they took too long and didn't end, she got anger. With anger, she said, "Ashwin will you kill him or I kill him". Then she took the gun, which she kept behind her back, just like a classic villain. And pointed towards Anand.
Before she could fire, Ashwin came in between and stopped her saying,"Stop, please don't kill him". While Ashwin was speaking, Mohan noticed a jeep sound from the main door, which she couldn't hear because of Ashwin's loud voice. He got a hope that the boy has arrived with the police.
