यूँ तो ट्रेन से सफ़र मेरे लिए आम बात थी
मगर आज़ क़ुछ ख़ास था..!

आँखे दूर पटरियों पे, कान ट्रेन अंनाउंसमेंट की ओर
मन ख़ुशी में झूम अलग ही ख़्वाब सजा रहा था..,
आज़ मीलों दूर से कोई
मुझसे मिलने आ रहा था...!

बातें क्या होंगी उनसे इसमें
उलझा मन बड़ा परेशान था..,
मग़र जज़्बातो में भी
जबरदस्त उफान था..!

देखा तो सामने आकर ट्रेन रुक गई..,
ढूंढ़ती नज़रे मेरी उन्हें देख हया से झुक गई..!

मेरी ओर दौड़ता एक शख्स
मेरे गले से आ लगा
लफ्ज़ मानो लब पर ठहर गए
दरमियाँ आँखों-आँखो की वों बात थी
क़ुछ ऐसी सी हमारी वाली मुलाक़ात थी..!
