Longing for You

Alone she sat on an empty swing set,
Swaying softly in the cradling zephyr,
As the moonlight revealed her ghostly silhouette,
While she hunched over his fragrant sweater

Dancing leaves surrounded her,
The sweet sounding euphony of nature
Lighted the shadows of her heart,
With celestial symphonies under the silver fir

She gazed towards the flying larks
Which led her eyes to his glowing smile
Stumbling off, sprinting through the dark,
Hugging him tightly, the wait was worthwhile
