Decayed Love

Weeping willows loomed above.
Cooing of white ravens.
Silent stares of black doves.

Not a word concerning this will you hear from me. For everything I say, becomes twisted, into the shape of a cross bow that aims at my knees.

Too many nights I laid with bloodshot eyes.
With you fast asleep, I could tell by your snores.
But after a while, you were not the cause.
Instead, it was the roars that echoed inside my head, the screeching of claws.

As my smile begins to fade,
as the colour in my eyes start to decay,
I will lay beside you.
As your love for me does the same.
