"Shades of love"
Love is not an emotion,
Tossed around like the waves of the ocean.
It's a choice of the will,
To care and sacrifice even through life's downhill.
Love birds meet and fly away,
But some drift apart even on the same day.
When the warm fuzzy feeling is gone,
They thought that love had moved-on.
No. Just like how our parents,
Showed us love along with our closest friends.
Love is a sacrifice for someone,
Never saying the words "I'm done!".
But the Love greatest above them all,
Is the Love of Jesus Christ for our heavenly call.
The Son of God who died for sinners like us,
While we were enemies with a dreadful past.
The love of Christ is like the sun,
That gives life and is the one.
The love of families is like the moon,
That illuminates the night with a soothing tune.
But the Love of our lovers,
Is like the star,
That stayed closest to the moon,
And never wanders off far.
All shades of love has no point of reference,
Without the love of Christ that has no end.
To eternity and beyond it will never fade,
And teaches us to nurture, sacrifice and to aid.
