Can I come home now for I am weak;
Even their shadows play "hide and seek"
They embrace the hearts that's left to bleed,
These are the deeds of those who do not speak.
Let's not forget who they are and what they do;
Let's bring back their smile, as we will all get through.
Their eyes sored and hands cleansed with filth,
Of those they see, they cure, they mend and build.
(Respect and Love to all the frontline workers)
-
Damaged and torn the way it is seen,
Our World brutally beaten as it has been,
When do we act? Now or tomorrow?
I'm there already, who will follow?
-
You came with a smile and left with tears;
This is the moment that I have always feared;
Nothing can change the decision you make,
Nor do I stand to have what it takes.
How do I mend what’s broken inside?
It must be a clear glimpse but out of sight;
True to my word I will have to face,
This pain will heal, by His Grace.
-
You've shone when there is no light;
My vision is clear, it might not be bright:
Never did I anticipate or misconstrue,
The damage is done, it is not you.
-
These are the nights that darkness seep
I search for you for I am willing to keep
But we do not always win all fights
With time, we just have to hold on tight.-
Those who seek perfection in pictures
Miss out the value of nature when it offers
Fresh fragrance emitted with love
Is the sweet sense sent from above
(Our World needs us)-
I see you, but your vision is blurry
I talk to you, but you're always in a hurry
I know what I see is true
Truth be told, I can never have you.-
You've grown when you've stopped complaining
You've shone when you've walked in the shadows
You're strong when you've helped the needy
You're beautiful because you're alive
-
Hold on they say, none would give a hand.
Be calm they say, the echoes are loud.
Be brave they say, nobody follows you at will.
Be kind they say, they'll shout for nothing at all.-
In the struggle for freedom we often lose,
The ones we have are the ones we choose.
No more do I stand alone this time,
Cause I am what we call sublime.-
