Maybe I am tired sitting in the same room of dark thoughts
My jaw pains, my limbs want to get detached from my body
My mind screams words and phrases
My ribs clutch my soul harder and harder
My heart pinches me more every second I think
of breaking the cage and fly out freely
I have been giving dead presence in the crowd
I am a puppet who smiles, who laughs but sits numb when alone
I want to get drown and die getting my throat, my lungs choked
But somehow I have mastered the art of swimming in this wrenched situation.

ख़्वाब कुछ और दिखाए तुमने सारी उम्र
पर जब आँख खुली मेरी तो ताबीर बदल दी

लफ़्ज़ों की जाल में गिरफ्त भी किया मुझें
और फिर वादा खिलाफ़ी कर दी

रूह काँपती थी तुम्हारी नमाज़-ए-मुहोब्बत क़ज़ा करते हुए
पर आज काफ़िर बन वक़ार-ए-इश्क़ तुमने धूल कर दी
