एक रास्ते पर सब साथ चल तो पड़े,
कई नए चेहरे मिले,
कुछ पुराने लोग टकरा गए,
उनके बदले हुए चेहरे देख,
हम यूहीं मुस्करा दिए।

तो अंतरिक्ष की और बढ़ गए।
अंतरिक्ष में चांद पर उतर गए।
ये हिंदुस्तान है जनाब,
अगर हम एक बार ठान लें तो,
आसमान ही नहीं,
अंतरिक्ष तक भी पहोंचना जानते हैं।

जैसे सुबह होने पर तारें गायब होते हैं
एक पल में हमारे साथ, दूसरे पल हमारे दिल में होकर भी
ओझल रहते हैं।
और अजूबा तो ये है कि,
अपनी जरूरत होने पर तारों की तरह रात को
वापिस भी लौट आते हैं।
उफ़! ये दुनिया...

ने सींचा है हमें
धरती ने माँ की ममता का एहसास है दिलाया,
हवा ने पिता की तरह सिर पर हात सहलाया,
और पानी की वो प्यार भरी चुलबुल शैतानियाँ
है बिल्कुल छोटी बहन की तरह,
सचमुच, अब यही मेरा परिवार बन चुका है।😊

इस कदर दूर निकलता गया,
सच्चाई से कोसों दूर पहुँच गया,
पीछे मुड़ तो केवल अँधेरा दिखा!
रोते हुए पीछे भागा ज़रूर पर उस भूल- भुलाईयाँ को सुलझा न सका।

फिर सुबह माँ ने तप्पड़ मार कर प्यार से जगाया।
