• Moon •

Everything that is so beautiful
And so out-of-reach.
You are my moon.

the summer evening's breeze
in a suburb full of trees.
I knew you'd be back,
Just didn't know when.

• LET THE SUN RISE •

On days like this and every other,
When there is no sun to keep you company,
Even the plants that you care little about, look sad and wary,
Your player just doesn't play the right music,
And the only distraction you have from work,
Apart form work, is a series about suicide,
And you feel like the only leaf left on a tree......
Then:
Don't let the nights bully you into thinking
that there is something wrong
with the way you function.
Because even if you feel that you've lost some time,
Maybe missed a beat, let things go,
And gave up so much that mattered a lot,
Remember:
The right notes will eventually come back,
The words that you strung beautifully and then forgot,
Will eventually make their way back to you,
Your dreams may have wandered away but they'll be back.
For they were yours and will always be.
Any moment now.
Just wait for the sun to rise.

They knocked sense into me when I was least expecting.
That's what best friends do.

•THE WORLD INSIDE THEM•

We make worlds out of people everyday.
We think we know them,
Mistaking them for open books.
We carve their life out of our own minds,
Sculpting the wrong statues, sawing off sense,
Mistaking wood for stone, messing up all their colours.
We make moulds out of people everyday.
We want them to fit us in,
Mistaking the sorrows in them to be indifference to our own.

September sunshine:
Harsh, unforgiving, vicious
But welcome anyway.

The song is playing me,
As I fledge to learn how to
Fit each note into its right place.
As I hum it absent-mindedly
While I eat, play, read and sleep.
As I think of the melody a song
Can make out of a person.
As I sleepwalk towards an
unknown tomorrow.
My only solace is that song,
For it plays me.

I dream about permanence.

Something that could last.

And that gives me hope.

To live life just this once,

Waiting for the next moment of hope to arrive.

Dense clouds of uncertainty.
Mists of tears that are probably mine.
Afraid to own them, I just let them collect in air.
They convalesce, weigh down into drops
of misery that has no source, guilt that has no consequence
and a reality that falls down on me
like an eternal rain.
First just dripping, then washing me down, as if scrubbing down all signs of self-acceptance that I had left on me.
Eventually, drowned in my own misery, shivering to the arrival of thoughts are are nothing but cold, uncertain
and hopeless.
I am still but my mind is endlessly oscillating between reality and dream,
Like an untiring pendulum that hasn't found its way home.
As life's stones wreak havoc in the still water that my mind was,
The splashes of water are my tears-
Tears that I still am afraid to own.

I owe a lot to the clouds.
For they carry my messages
when no one else does.
