Providing Hekmatyar and other Mujahideen leaders with ammunition & weapons, to drive the soviets out of the country is one thing but leaving the country with no constitutional surveillance or government, is another. It led to nothing but a civil war, the war ended in the coming years but it was just a prelude for Afghan sufferings, As reins of the country were in the hands of a barbaric group of people infamously known for suppression of women and encouraging people to adapt a lifestyle as obsolete as it could be...the land became a breeding ground for terrorism, Meanwhile Iraq invaded kuwait and again the US intervention began...Terrorist groups like Al Qaeda had it years in planning to respond to the US and they did...be it the bombing of 93 at the World Trade Center or 9/11's executed plane hijacks and crashing into the both Skyscrapers of WTC, Pentagon building and in PA, many people lost their lives.The US wanted revenge and they got it in time but the innocent lives of Afghanis has suffered and suffering so, whether it was the time when it became a playground for two superpowers to play, the civil war, the talibans or the US invasion after 9/11 or the taliban again..
