गैरों की महफिल में फंस चुके हैं हम,
ढोंगी लोगों से अब त्रस्त हो चुके हैं हम,

पहल करना इतना मुश्किल क्यूँ होता है?
प्रेम होकर भी जाने क्यूँ अहंकार रोक लेता है?
वो इजहार करेंगे फिर हम स्वीकार करेंगे,
ना जाने ऐसा भाव क्यूँ होता है?
अजीब है ना यार पर आजकल यही होता है।
ज़माना इतना बदल गया है कि दूध ही क्या,
निश्चल प्रेम भी अब मिलावटी हो गया है।
ऐसे में कैसे करूं विश्वास किसी पर,
सभी की नीयत पर अब शक होने लगा है।
