Table in the kitchen
The aroma of besan laddoo still lingers in my mind
That Amma used to keep on that kitchen table far behind
Earlier tables in the kitchen were more of storing
As we all would sit down in the kitchen which was never boring
The table in the kitchen would be full of surprise
With pickles to those cold limbu pani in summers were a respite
Also the tables were meant for last minute revision
With Amma's stern voice while cooking ,we gave it all from competition to examination
So those kitchen tables had the most cherished time
I reminisce about my childhood as I rushed to the kitchen inside

The season of king is here
With juicy and ripe mangoes so dear
And with that the season of so many events also happening
It's that season of ipl and election so no stopping
With auctions to booing ipl has just started
That excitement to nervousness is all expected
Of Preity's excitement to kaviya maran's emotions
The game has just begun for the franchisee owners
It's that season in politics as well
From Lotus blooming to the jail arrests
Everywhere there is political unrest
Agenda, propoganda,promises and what not
Luring a layman with job,home,luxuries which are never sought
Well, just like ipl ,politics is also a game
Irs that season where only a common man bears the blame

People label us as emotional fools
It's easy for us to get cheated
A few glossy words and your work is done
But first understand how we have to be treated
Yes we are women, we dont hide our emotions
We let them flow to let you know
What we are for you
And what you mean to us from those very few
Yes we are women,we do know what love language is
And that's why we are good mothers
With so much responsibility as such
We also act as great teachers
We carry an aura of beauty, grace and peace
Juggling house and work no one has to teach us
Yes we r women, a smile and we restart without a fuss
Yes we are women we just need our own space
And then nothing can stop us ,for us the world is a stage

As they say, beauty is nothing without brain
And when they say this,for a woman, it's no less than a pain
Life always throws challenges on you
But I try to be optimistic and grab those opportunities from those very few
Being a mum of three is never easy
My pretty dolls and now beautiful princess are growing up swiftly
From being a doctor to a super mommy
And now taking part in this pageant life has been super busy
Coming from culturally inclined roots and nurturing sanskars in my kids
I think I will thank my parents and my friends for these precious gifts
Hence, as I participate, a flashback of events just runs through my eyes
And with those wishes and blessings, I wait for what next lies

Women and kitchen
My girl knows cooking, says every mother with pride
That very sentence, she takes it in her stride
Seekhlo kuch toh are her taunting words
As she knows, you have to adjust that shadi ka ghar
And a transition from girl to woman actually begins in the kitchen
With pehli rasoi, we try to win everyone's hearts
And then, for every women kitchen becomes her second home
She escapes into one to hide her pains and hiding money in those dabbas
For some, it's like majboori, and for some, it's pet pooja ke liye jaroori
And then the struggle begins to make everyone's khwahish poori
The kitchen has seen more emotions of women than any
That banging of utensils to dancing with enjoyment ,they are many
So it's not just a kitchen it's where many dreams are poora
From mastering that cooking skills to fulling everyone's tummy, nothing is adha adhura

Since ages, these two words have been like synonyms
That goes hand in hand,both complimenting each other
Without which every relationship will never bind together
For every lady its a sacred place ,more than any religious one
Kitchen a place where that aroma of flavors make our heads turn
Basic cooking taught by a mother to her daughter begins with pride
And later kitchen becomes her second home,where some things she can hide
Hiding her emotions,engrossed in her thoughts ,that savings in the dabbas and what not
The kitchen has seen a women's pain,her excitement to fulfil the demands
Fulfilling everyone's appetite is what she commands
It has seen her struggle of expectations and squashing her own wishes
Women and kitchen are inseparable,it has seen how the women thrives to make those yummy dishes

From her skin to scar everything she has to hide

Because in today's world, other than few candle marches and protests, there's no solution
Thank you for letting us know the meaning of sacrifice

Exhaustion

I crave for that exhaustion after a good time we had
And we would try to prove each other that we were not bad
I'll muster all the pain and pleasures at the same time
With you besides me covered in the sheets everytime
That's what what we all crave for
With a exhausting day ,let's get exhausted behind those closed doors

Shimmering sarees and those fancy garlands
With chit chat and gossip our day becomes endless
We wait for the moon and a sip of water to bless
With each karva chauth we wish for a long life
And husband's support ,understanding without a strife
Let each karva chauth end on  a note that makes the husband realize
And we are Ladies just one day is not enough for us to make us surprise
