The Man Script

A.N: This is one of the most
visceral, vivid, disturbing,
gut wrenching and eerie
poems written by me so far.

It's an attempt to dissect,
analyse, criticise and give
a voice to 'male privilege'
which in itself is an invisible
prison for men and they live
in it throughout their whole
lives without coming to any
realised conclusion about the
damages done and losses
caused until there's no time
or space left to repent, regret
or hold remorse for oneself.

THE FALL OF SAMSON

(For everyone who has
seen men with potential
waste themselves while
acting like a tragic hero
then refuse redemption,
avoid accountability
for their own pain and hurt
while putting up an act of heroic
stoicism but in reality they all,
flee, scamper and run
from their true selves.

are bystanders trying to give
aid from the side lines.
Listen, we can't
lend a helping hand to such
individuals who decline
the opportunities to heal
and bite the hand that feeds
them)

PREVIEW:

This is for someone who has
shown me she's fickle and
breakable in front of trivial tickles
from sensory stutter and the fact
she can't stand on her own
against degradation dressed
up like familiarity even if it's
ominous, says a lot about
internalised misogyny.


Truth to be spoken she's blinded
and believes about her Predator
to be her Saviour but in reality
a man-eater carnivore must
be slaughtered, uprooted
from its roots and banished.
