पहली बरसात

पहली बरसात सी वो,
थंडी हवा सी उसकी हसी,
गिरति बूंदों सी उसकी चुलबुलाहट,
तेज़ आँधी सा उसका उत्साह,
सोंधी खुशबू सा उसका सुकून,

और रंगीले अंबर सी उसकी उड़ान!

Let's go back to that day -

You woke up before alarm rang,
not tired
Your first action is looking for mom,
not phone 
Thinking of all the "masti" you can do,
not planning all to dos
When you slept tight at night,
not scrolled the whole time
When you wanted to grow up,
not wished to be a child again!!

Running to a store on Sunday,
Counting rings for best friends and bands for friends
Waiting for the Monday after Friendship day,
Hiding those in bags and pockets
And secretly putting bands on each other's hand
Smiling till recess coz now all we crave for is a pledge!!
HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY!!

She wished

She wished not just to be loved
To be believed
To be understood
To be free
To explore her life
Her life on her terms
No fear No guilt No judgments
She wished all this to be easy

She wished her love to last long
Not killed over someone's opinion
She wished forever to be easy

She wished for once her smile to be real
Not a gesture for everyone's happiness
She wished... A lot!!

Sadly all she wished is going far from her
Not kingdoms just basics
So finally all she wished is other's happiness
Sadly all she got is a kind smile and teary heart!

Lost in the bright light of high rise
Craving for city road hussel deep down!

Rain realized the draught would destroy it all
To avoid the disaster, it came all again
With a lesson, to pour only till the soil is fertile
To teach one, to search for water by itself.

It was great this year,
The flowers were learning
They had blossomed again and
The rain was finally happy.

Soon the wind blew and took away the clouds with it
Rain was left with no option but to go
Left, but this time with a note -
Stay blossom, we may never meet again like we used to...!
Now the rain knew
The flowers will grow by
through all odds.

It's all so unexpected
It can be burning sun at one moment
And next moment it can be raining
One have no control on weather
Except to deal with it.

It's nature and it's all so unexpected!
Likewise it's life
There can be failures one day and
Next day one can be successful.

To mould or deal with it,
One have no control on the weather
That's the Unexpected nature of the weather!

Aazad parinde si uski udaan
Pankh failaye to jug dekhan aaye
Kaid jo hua pinjare m
Maan hi maan ghabraye
Band gaye yun pankh uske
Par aasun na ek bahye
Mirchi khaye popat haas haas sab dohraye
Maan m aas liye
Ya to udh jaye ya maar jaye!

Everything is just like ever wanted
Then there are times when you crave for
A primary school and a summer break
A playground and a cricket match
A dance class and a cycle race
A fight with a sibling
A praise from father
A pamper from mother
Then there are times when you close your eyes
And everything is just like you wanted
A 10 year old playing studying wishing for
The degree, the dream job, the recognition,
The self reliant individual
Then opens the eyes and
Everything is just like ever wanted
Caught in a vicious circle of wanting and wishing
Then there Will be times when one will stop craving and start enjoying where one is!
