I never won a race called love,
In-fact I was a dawdler.
I still reminisce my first love,
Reckoning I won't be enveigled again. 
Albeit, I wish I muster more courage, 
To stand up to you and say things, 
So that I spend my life to live by them. 
Maybe you'll call it love, maybe you won't, 
Maybe I won't be weak at the knees ever again.
Howbeit, you would be a companion, 
In my sunny and rainy days. 
We would grow old and beautiful, 
And watch the sunshine tell us, 
Why this story came out better.

It sounds surreal.
Like salt in sea water,
It has blended with my soul.
Apathy runs like a blazing blood,
Thawing my bones slowly,
Burning bridges in a row,
Appraising the idea of desolation,
On a scale of indifference.
Somewhere beyond joy and pain,
I find myself standing absolutely numb.

It's Valentine's Day. Today you should really ask yourself, "Am I the best version of myself?" More than having a valentine beside you, it is important that you know who you are and respect the fact that you have come this far. You know what is sexy? Self respect! Don't let them walk over you. It takes years to build the blocks of self respect and repair it. Be around someone who fuels your flame and drives you to your best version. Treat them equal to you. You are in no way any less. Someone had created you with the exact amount of undivided attention as paid to them. Don't let someone drain you emotionally. Invest on right people. Be grateful for their time. Life is too short to wait for people who left you alone during sunrise.
