As a resident of Jammu & Kashmir, I say this with a heavy heart – please don’t visit our state right now. It’s not safe. The recent attack on tourists in Pahalgam is just another painful reminder. One day it's Pulwama and our soldiers, another day it’s innocent visitors trying to experience our land.

Why do we keep debating over PoK when we aren’t even safe in our own Kashmir? What good is claiming more land when we can’t protect what we already have?

This isn’t about pointing fingers at a particular leader or party. It’s about a system that always reacts after tragedy strikes – never before. Why does it take bloodshed for us to wake up?

Today we’ll post, we’ll mourn, we’ll rage. But tomorrow, the news cycle will move on – just like always. We must not.

Wake up. Look around. Acknowledge the truth. Don’t accept this violence as a new normal. Our people, our guests, our protectors – they all deserve better
