நோய்யது தொற்றினால் உயிர் துறப்போம் என தெரிந்தபின்பும்
தோய்வின்றி இத்தொற்றை தோற்கடிக்கும் வீரர்கள் இவர்கள்
வலி போக்கும் தாயுள்ளத்தை தன்னில் கொண்டு
உயிரையும் பணயம் வைக்கும் தாயுமானவர்,
எண்ணிலடங்கா வரிகள் அதை இதில் சேர்த்திட்டாலும்
நிறைபெறாதாம் இம்மேன்மக்களின் மெய்கீர்த்தி!
