Amid the valley verdant and blind,
Pasturing the meadows distant wide,
Frolicking with her head laid back,
Goes a spotless snowy lamb.
Loved and treasured by the simpleton shepherd,
Gentle and pure and beautifully furred.
On an evening, sober and grey,
The darling of the herd lost her way.
As the red giant reddened the sky,
Meandered the pack crafty and stylized.
With spurious promises in the vicious eyes,
They escorted her into the fatal night.
On the horizon, darkly curved,
Lingered the hazy blinding sun,
To catch a glimpse of the priceless pearl,
Wrapped in wings of the mourning dove,
Smeared with hue of courage and love.
