I Miss Home
I wake in a bed that’s not quite mine,
In a house that’s different from the one I knew.
Things are good, he’s here, but
I miss the days when it was just me.

Before marriage, I could wake when I wanted,
Spend hours doing nothing, just being free.
Now, there’s someone to think about,
And though I love it, it’s a change I didn’t expect.

I’m still me, but I miss that girl—
The one who didn’t have to consider anyone else.
It’s not that I don’t love this life,
I just miss the one I left behind.

Echoes of Deceit

We met through screens, a quiet connection,
Words exchanged, a friendship grew.
We shared our fears, our dreams, our pain,
A bond that felt real, until it broke apart.

He changed over time, distant and cold,
Strayed from the love we once built.
When confronted, he blamed her heart,
Twisting the truth, avoiding the truth.

There was no guilt in his eyes, no remorse in his voice,
Just lies that kept growing.
She saw the truth, and though it hurt,
She walked away, leaving him behind.

What was once love, now shattered and lost,
A lesson learned, but with a price.
She chose her peace, no longer to stay,
And moved forward, away from the past.

Yet they measure her worth by what's outside, not within.

Struggling for respect, in shadows she stands,
Tired of the weight that life demands.
On this Women’s Day, let’s all agree,
To treat her with care, as she should be.

In the gentle rain, I find a quiet place,
Alone with memories, the past's embrace.
Dust of days gone by, lingering pain,
A storm brews softly, echoing my strain.

Yet I kept moving, heart held high,
Hoping for the best beneath the vast sky.

Was someone like you,
Who sweeps my feet,
Just like in my dreams.

When nights were cold,
And days were dark.

But none could fill the void,
In my heart,
