ALONE IN A CROWD

Alone in a crowd
Such an irony
How can you be alone
When you're surrounded by tons of people
But the reality is that
Even though you have people around you
You can still feel lonely
And not have someone to talk to
Because you fear you might be mocked
You fear you might be misunderstood
You fear the talebearers
And so it goes on and on
You keep piling everything up in your mind
But do you not fear
That one day
It'll reach the brim
And cause you to breakdown?
Leaving you at the mercy
Of the people you kept away from
No. I'm not saying to trust everyone
But there will be someone
Who is perfect enough
To carry the burden with you

That sick feeling,
In the pit of my stomach,
Eating me up inside,
Taking over my rationality.
Fear.

Fear of the unknown.
Fear of this dunya.
Fear of the akhira.
What have I done,
In preparation for my Jannah?

How often do I remember Allah?
How often do I read the Qur'an?
Am I still on the right path?
Will my deeds be enough for Jannah?
Everyday I go to sleep
With these thoughts on my mind
"What if I don't wake up tomorrow?"

Laa ilaaha illa llahu muhammadu rasulullahi salla llahu alayhi wasallam

A PRECIOUS GIFT

When I saw this prompt
What came to mind was 'the eyes'
Being a four-eyed girl
I often tell the two-eyed people
To be grateful
Because they are able to see perfectly
Without needing a medium

But then I thought,
'What about my other parts?'
'Are they not functioning well?'
I chastised myself
For I was beginning to feel ungrateful
Despite the fact that I could still see
When some couldn't at all

So I said Alhamdulillah
That all my body parts are functioning
And forever will I be grateful to my Lord

"When all hope is lost..."

Allah said in the said in the Qur'an
Chapter 39 verse 53
"...Do not despair in the mercy of your Lord..."

When everything seems hard
When everything seems tough
When you feel you can't go on
When you feel all hope is lost

Remember,
Allah will always be there
Turn to Him
He will surely come to your aid.

Love they say
Is magical
Beautiful and sweet

When in love
You feel like
The most luckiest
And happiest human
You feel fulfilled

But for all this
To not be a mirage
Love right
And pray hard

Falling in love
With the wrong person
Is tantamount to heartbreak
And damaging your self-worth

The last day...

Lasts are not always my favorites
I hate to say goodbyes
But there's nothing that doesn't come to an end
Everything will
Including this dunya.

I wonder why
We refuse to yield the call of our creator

I wonder why
We delay the obligatory Salah

I wonder why
We neglected the Sunnah

I wonder why
Living by the Qur'an seems too much a task

Is it that we are not scared of the punishment of the grave?
Or we think Jannah will come on a silver platter

Brethren,
Let's reflect.
This wordly life is just a test
And it definitely has an end.

A confidant
Guarding you from the world
Shielding you from harm
Guiding your footsteps

Always having your back
No matter what
Defending and believing in you
Even when it is hard to

To have a brother in life is a fortune
Not everyone
Is destined to have
Including me

Be like a river...

Be like a river
That flows with purpose
It's of benefit to humans
Animals and crops alike
It also provides a sense of peace and tranquility.
It's calm and serene

Don't just be living without a purpose
Be like a river
That serves all

Looking up at the night sky
How many wonders shall we speak of?
Is it the moon
Sitting majestically in the sky
Is it the stars
Sparkling
Adding to the magnificence of the night sky.

Indeed
Broad and vast
Exquisite and alluring
Is the night sky
For he who watches it feels tranquil.

And why will he not
The night sky is one of the creations of Allah
The Lord of the universe
