There's such a fine line between concern and interference, yet the difference is contrasting.

Concern sounds polite, gentle and reaches out with loving words and an empathic helping hand. But, interference is just a loud & unwanted opinion, a judgment, and exercising of control that is hardly welcomed in a good sense.

The wise who know the difference do realize where to draw the line. I truly appreciate their understanding of giving ample breathing space, and I'd really love to respect & honour that maturity.

Curiosity is a great thing as long as you are interested to know about the right stuff in the right amount. Once your curiosity level reaches the intrusive limit, it's just going to put off or offend others, coz you've just crossed the bounds of acceptable behaviour.

Self Worth

What you superficially see or don't see has absolutely no bearing on what I truly deserve. It's just your baseless, unempathetic and immature opinion. I deserve something way beyond what you think I'm eligible for.

You definitely can't make that decision for me, coz you ain't in my shoes. You never were, nor can you ever be. So, determining my worth isn't something you should be attempting to even think about.

Someone told me that aged people would've seen a lot of life, so never question their behaviour. But, I want to always know, have they learnt something worthwhile during their journey that makes them broad minded, empathetic, compassionate, wise, and a little unselfish? Not really. The point is, they can change some bit even today, only if they are willing to. It's just that there was perhaps nobody to tell them how to develop the right attitudes and behaviour. So, let's not assume that all the elderly people are mature.

Contrarily, today's toddlers are growing up to be mature and goodhearted, provided they have great mentors. I see them being kind, smart, sensible & sensitive.

All I wanna say is, age has absolutely nothing at all to do with maturity.

Friendship

When you want to be friends with someone, it's important to accept them wholly. Just being there on happy days isn't enough. Being there during their rock bottom days with comforting words, a little help, attentive listening, understanding them, and giving a loving hug – this is what real friendship is about.

Nobody is more precious than a person who can be there for others in their times of distress. Accept your friend for their beautiful traits, ignorant flaws and the problems in their life. Perhaps they need you more than you can ever imagine.

Mature Minds

Only a person with a pure and unsullied heart can wish good for people around them. Those genuine wishes are great blessings to the one who receives them because it's coming from an unpretentious and selfless space. They know how to appreciate and compliment, for real.

Finding such beautiful people is a rarity today, and when I come across any such person, I find them to be very inspiring and powerful personalities. They have no idea about envy, falsity or hypocrisy. They are happy for you, your joys, success, talent & achievements. They know how to radiate love and goodness. What a truly amazing find they are!

Learning to be Respectful must be a significant part of the education system. It should have been — since many decades and continue to be until the human race survives. Perhaps, at least then, the senior and super senior citizens of today would have learnt about being sensitive to the sentiments of those their children's age.

They think that their age grants them the superiority to give unsolicited advice and be infinitely indifferent. If they were educated on being respectful, unprejudiced and empathetic, they would have also inculcated the same in their own children. Lack of educating about core human values is the main reason for a closed & biased mind, and this forms majority of the society in our country.

THE ESCAPE ROUTE

Sometimes, escapism is not a negative thing after all. You have the right to dream and make it come true, a small dream or a big one. It is pretty even to day dream.

They quote morals and say that you wanna escape from reality. But, they know not your burden, your heart, your mind. How judgemental!

Yeah, we need to escape from many hard days –
To lighten the baggage on your shoulders
To connect with nature and enjoy the love it showers
To laugh out with friends & cousins and feed your soul
To paint colors, click beautiful pictures and watch the sky
To rest your thoughts on a sunset and feel the breeze
To enjoy the music and dance, and just to know yourself better!

So, escape from the rut for a while. I think, it's totally alright to be an escapist in the right sense.
