Oneday while I was getting ready-
I looked up in the mirror ,
There was someone staring back at me..
Someone I knew intimately but could barely recognise now..
Someone who terrified me,
Someone who should have been but isn't anymore.
Her eyes looked so beautiful with the delicate stroke of mascara but still there was something missing,
That hint of innocence or the guilt free conscious perhaps...
Her kajal could not hide the tears that she had cried over the years,
Her concealer could not conceal the bags that had formed from sleepless nights,
The red lipstick glowed on her perfectly curved lips but there was something only I could notice,
A slight quiver at the corner of her lips;
The feeling of unsurety she tries so hard to camouflage.
The golden blush with a tinge of pink did little to hide the darkness growing inside her.
I saw a girl with the most beautiful makeup but somehow she is not the girl that once was...

The way he looked at me,
The way he sighed,
The way he's eyes sparkled,
It just felt right!
The ticking of the clock suddenly came to a halt-
The innocent heart that I thought was broken suddenly came back to life with no faults;
At that moment life seemed a little bit less sore
Because all of a sudden two friends became something more... ☺️

I have forced my heart to be lonely long enough;
Maybe it's time for it to learn to beat for someone again... 🙂

I don't need a knight in shining armour,
I just need someone who will know all my demons but still choose to see the hidden angels... 🙂

"I am feeling very lazy to go out,I would rather stay inside and play video games"; that's what we say,
"I like lying around all day watching Netflix", that's what we say,
"I don't like meeting people,I would rather DM them in Insta"; that's what we say,
We live in a generation where virtual world is more attractive than reality!
But these Quarantined Days made me realise-
The illusion of the virtual world exits only because we have a reality... 🙂
