The storm hasn’t passed, my heart’s still not whole,
Pieces still cut me when I reach for control.
But you made me believe that life doesn’t end here,
That there’s more beyond sorrow, more than this fear.

I am healing slow, but I’m trying my best,
If I speak of love again, put my hope to rest.
Keep me close, remind me what’s true,
That my worth isn’t tied to the ones I once knew.

I promise I’ll fight, I won’t fall apart,
Just stay by my side, you have my heart.
I love you now and I always will,
Even when the nights are heavy and still.

And if one day I start to fade away,
Remind me of the night you chose to stay.

A Love Like You

Thank you for making me realize,
That happiness can wear a smile,
That joy can live in someone's eyes,
And peace can stay for more than a while.

Thank you for being my calm in the storm,
For holding me close, keeping me warm.
In every high, in every fall,
You stood beside me through it all.

Thank you for the love you give,
In your arms, I’ve learned to live.
For every touch, for every care,
For every “I’m here,” when life wasn’t fair.

I’m blessed to walk this path with you,
To see the world in softer hue.
You turned my fears into gentle grace,
And built a home in your embrace.

You’re more than love you’re heart, you’re light,
My reason to believe things will be right.
If this is love, then I’ve found the best
A rare kind of peace, a lifelong rest.

The Hands That Held Me, Held Her Too

He loved me or so he swore,
But still he wandered, wanting more.
He cried for me, hands on his face,
But still he put her in my place.

He cared for me, that’s what he claimed,
While setting my trust up in flames.
He held me close, called me his peace,
But played the game and fed the beast.

He said I was his heart, his light,
But kissed her lips behind the night.
He promised me a world so true
Then broke it all, and blamed me too.

He gave me dreams, then watched them fall,
Said "I messed up"  that fixed nothing at all.
He begged, he wept, with shaking tone,
But I was left to bleed alone.

You don’t get to cheat and still say love,
That word is pure you’re far above.
You shattered something I can’t rebuild,
And called it “mistake,” but you were skilled.

So don’t come back with guilty tears,
You knew damn well what fed my fears.
Your hands, once warm, now feel like knives
You broke a heart that once gave life.

A Lost Soul's Cry

I watched from the balcony, cookies in hand,
As a car pulled up and left a pet on the land.
It chased after the car, with all of its might,
But the car disappeared, leaving it in fright.

Alone and confused, it circled around,
Lost in the street, no comfort to be found.
I wanted to help, but didn’t know how,
I’d cared for cats, but not a dog, not now.

I offered some biscuits, a treat to share,
But it was too scared, too lost to care.
So I reached out for help, hoping for light,
And a kind aunty came to make things right.

She took the pet in, with love and care,
I hope it’s safe now, free from despair.
I’ll never forget that scared little face,
And the kindness that led it to a better place.

Blocking people isn't enough. I need to talk to their mom in detail about what they did.

I showed more love than I ever got back,
so excuse me for how heartless I've become.

Life goes on, with or without whoever and whatever.

Never forget that.

In the dance of first love's sweet embrace,
Hearts entwined, a magical place.
But when the melody fades away,
Leaves behind the ache of yesterday.
