Lost more than a decade back

It was the year 2008
Overnight, a girl had changed
From a happy, carefree soul
To, since then, whatever, time has stole

Landing first in the deep hole of grief
Then whence, the unending quest began
Racking the mind, body and the soul
Searching answers,for questions that intellect pose

Losing oneself in the process, somewhere
Becoming something, that was unimaginable before
Never knowing whether that was going up or coming down
On which scale to measure, the right from the wrong?

Pierced my heart with unforgettable pain
Took my loved one again
Without giving a chance to say goodbye...

After all this beating heat
A rain will surely come
In the cool drizzle that pours down
The soul will soak and drench

Then this sweat will bother not
Nor the scorching sun
For when the divine dewdrops shall shower
What would matter more?
