Mai agar ek phool hoti
Mai tere bageeche mai na milti
Safed, nila, pila, hara, narangi rango m na dikhti
Jhilmil si baithi uss gamle m suraj ko na taakti
Hawaon k aate jaate unn k sang jhumne ka aas na rakhti
Titliyan meri na dost hoti,
meri khushboo kisi ko aakarshit na karti

Mai agar ek phool hoti
M laal ya gulabi rang ki hoti
Thode kaaton se bhare hoti
Tere mehboob ki di gyi hui tere liye wo pehli taufa hoti
10 rupay m aayi hui tera wo anmol yaad hoti

Mai agar ek phool hoti
M gulaab hoti, murjhai si tere sabse pasandeeta
kitab ki beech wale panno m basti..

Mai agar ek phool hoti..

"Talking and swallowing something
at the same time is difficult" her mother said.

Who knows better than her when
everytime she gulped down all her
misery while screaming out
that she is fine.

"How's life so easy for you with your loved ones?"

"When they give you happiness with all their heart, be two times more grateful than you actually felt.
And when they hurt you unknowingly, don't even express half of you how you felt"

Oh dear best friend,
You promised to be my shadow till the end!
I see my shadow nowhere now
Did you know the light, I didn't allow?
To just carry your beaming face around.
I bounced off the light to the ground.
When my body was starving light
with you I held my internal darkness tight
Then the night overcasted our lives,
The light which I always strived
now stabbed me back and forth.
You draped me with memories like an old cloth.
With you, the surrounding light was fine
Without you, the light inside itself is now difficult to shine.

They always wished to visit the place where the earth meets the sky.

Where as, I am here standing since the day you said me, I belong to the sky and you to the land, we are both out of each other's reach!

~I always feared the darkness,

You came,
You didn't promise to bring light..
But you taught me
Nights can be beautiful too!
I always asked you
"When will we get up together in a warm morning?"
Sadly, that sun never rose..

You left,
Your lessons are still with me...
I remember everything
But, I again fear the night!
I wish I had asked you,
"How to enjoy moonless nights?"
Because, the moon has left visiting my nights..
