कई बार हम आकर
लौटें हैं, अब गिनती छूट गई।
तुम्हे आवाज देने की
हिम्मत ही न हुई।
था न कोई शिकवा, न कोई गीला,
थी तो बस एक खलल।
कहे भी तो क्या
तुम्हारे सामने खड़े होकर।
अब तो वो सवाल भी पुराने
और जवाब भी आधे अधूरे।

की दिल मैं लेहेर उठती हैं
जब सवेरे अख़बार वाला
अपना हसमुख चेहरा लिए
कालोनी में अख़बार बाटता हैं।
जिंदगी में तो जंग हजारों हैं
हस्ते हस्ते इन मुखिलों का सामना करना ही
जीने का नाम हैं।

वक्त के हसीं सितम को समझने की
दिन और रात के अंतर को समझने की।
जहां तुम्हारा सूर्योदय होता था
वहीं मेरा सूर्यास्त होता था।
हमारी आदतें और चाय की पियालियां
एक दूसरे से बिछड़ चुकी थी।
तुम्हारा "अब" मेरा "तब" बन चुका था।

When I was a little girl, I asked my mother and granny
How as a woman should I grow up to be
Here what they said to me
You should be brave, kind and willowy
Life won't be easy, the roads ahead are bumpy
But you need to be steady, calm and sturdy
You will meet people both awesome and awful
But don't get swayed cause you will grow up to be a woman
Need to be careful, forewarn & vigil
Cause we live amongst people, who situate repercussions on women
Many gave up in the battle, a lot more are wrestling
Que sera sera, being a woman is not easy
Even so women are the impetus lives look right on sublime & enduring

The going wasn't easy,
We have been through rough
And challenging roads
Since the last couple of year.
We have lived through the equation
Of losing near and dear ones.
In the wink of an eye,
The microscopic devil tossed our lives.
We now deserve to be happy
And cheerful to start afresh.

আবার তিনিই পর্বত রাজ
হিমালয় কন্যা পার্বতী।
আজ তার বিদায়ের পালা,
আসছে বছর আবার আসবে
আসার প্রদীপ রেখ জ্বেলে।

On a Sunday evening
I took myself out, for a swing
Around the city of temples.
Passed by a shrine of trustees
Where I saw two beggars standing
Puffing Classic Filter & liberating
Clouds of smoke in the air
They, may be, are deprived
Of the essentials of living
But not of the luxuries of life.

पत्थर और हिरें में फर्क इतना भी कहां
क्या हिरें की चमक से रोशन हुआ
किसी का जाहां।
यह तो अपनी अपनी तकदीर हैं
कोई जल कर राख हुआ तो कोई गाड़ा सोना
ऐ हमदम मेरे, इतना भी मेरे इश्क को ना आज़मा
त्खते पलट जायेंगे, बदलेगा ना जुनून मेरा
इतना परख कर हासील होगा कुछ ना।
