I think I’ve met you,
In the form that I dreamt you of.
With the eyes I thought you’ll have and the lips that taste of sweet goodness.

I think I’ve met you.
In the exact form I dreamt you of.
With the sheer kindness in your heart and love for me I knew you’d have.
It feels as though you were created out of the yearnings of my heart and the words I scribbled.

Dear LOML,
I think I’ve met you, I know I have
You feel like home, you feel like I finally made it home.

A thousand times I thought I met you.
A thousand and one times I realised I was wrong.
That the man who said he loved me and gave me up wasn't you.
That the man who said he'd choose me always but chose another wasn't you.
That man, the one who swept me off my feet and sold me a dream in a white dress with a picket fence and little ones still wasn't you.
And oh, my best friend. The one who made it all go away and put back the colour in my life is still not you.
Sometimes I wonder if you'll ever come.
Sometimes I think I'm looking for you in the wrong form.
Maybe you aren't meant to come in bearded testosterone and sausage.

Wait!
I find myself just waiting.

I wait; for you to come home
I wait; for you to touch me
I wait; for you to see me in the ways that I see you.
I wait; for you to want me in the ways my heart wants you.

Wait!
I just wait.
Hoping that someday this would be.

I had two choices.

To stay in the dark bearing the weight on my shoulders
or to strike hard enough for a flame to burn.

But I walked.
Letting my heart lead, I walked through the darkness and the pain. Trusting there was more.

You are more.

The flowers in my garden
Tell me of a time when I had you
When we bloomed
And your fragrance filled my heart.

The flowers in my garden
Tell me of the times I stayed wrapped in your arms
And we gave in to the pleasures of our bodies like leaves to the wind.

The flowers in my garden
Now withered and dying
Are a reflection of what I've become
Since your stamen found another pistil.

I stay awake

Wrapped in the warmth of his arms,
Strapped between his legs,
And sharing in his body and its pleasures.

Dear Man,

I saw them mould you.
With so much clay and very little water.
Then they put you in the oven to set.
And as the heat burned your frame,
they thought your form perfect and strong.

But I see you.
I see your cracks,
I see your brittle edges.
I see, the imperfection that is you.
But I love you still.

And with the fluidity that is me,
I will seal your cracks and strengthen your edges.
Dear man,
Accept this love, give love and teach your brother to love is strength and not weakness.

Last night, he was in my dreams again.
This time he pulled me to himself.
And with his hand on my neck he gently tugged my chin up to let his lowering lips meet mine.

Tomorrow, I'll see him.
But I can never muster the courage to tell him how I feel.
So when the day is done, I'll shut my eyes and wait for him to come.

Are HUMAN.
Not objects,
Not slaves,
Not helpers,
Not second class,
Not an extension of a man,
Just HUMAN.

A world where she is not limited by culture, tradition and beliefs.
A world where she is free to be all that she is and never one born simply to serve another's purpose.

DREAMS OF A TRAVEL WALLET

I want to go where you go.
I want to take all of life's journeys with you.
I want to be right next to you as you fly those thousands miles to make your dreams come true.
I want to be with you. Now and Always.
Would you have me?
