I am used to goodbyes.

Facing the lies.
Unveiling the smiles
That bore eerie caprice.
The dawn poured light,
The dusk murked the hushed alleys.
Secretive eyes that
Promise deeds of great sacrifice.
Half unleashed and half holding behind.
Sowing seeds of tenderness and whimsical desires.
Silently bypass the eyes
That pule amidst leering rabbles.
Those eyes smudged in
Darkness, retrieve their shines.
One day they glister in pride
Of their own delight.
