हो लानत ऐ मुसलमानों तुम पर
जो क़ुरआन उठा कर पढ़ ना सके
डिग्रियां लेने कौन कौन से मुल्क तक गए
दीन के रास्ते पर दो कदम बढ़ ना सके
ख़्वाब ऊँचे ऊँचे, मकान ऊँचे ऊँचे
अमालों से जन्नत में मकाँ बना ना सके
क्या हुआ तेरे माल व दौलत का
जिससे अल्लाह को राज़ी कर ना सके
ख़ाक से बन कर ख़ाक हो गया
हसरतों को मगर कहीं दफना ना सके..

Tumhe tassaliyan milegi kahan se zindagi me
Tumhe jo ata hai us pr to shukar guzar hote hi nhi

Jinhe bhookh hai sirf or sirf khawahisat ki
Unhe shukar guzari ka lafz pta hi nhi

Phir shikayaten krne ka haq diya kisne
Jb Allah k niyamat or rahmaton ka pta hi nhi

Pretentious saints are much worse than sinners

निकल पड़े थे न जाने किन रास्तों पर बेबाक हो कर
कुछ दूर चले आए तो एहसास हुआ दिल ए फाजिर का

हमें मालूम न था उन रोशन दानों का
जिन पे मर मिटते हैं परवाने आसमानों का

They say one should be good.
But,
My bad may be different
from your good
and vice versa.

Maybe,
that is why
we are all forgiven.
We are all sinners
looking for a redemption.

BEAUTIFULLY FATAL

Lips carved with words those
belonged to the sinners,

Eyes like black rose whose thorns
made her cry cruor,

Mind so unsettled for the things
not forgotten,

Yet, the heart still beating for the
memories long rotten,

And seeing her
Then the world labelled,

Yes,
She is beautifully fatal.

कुत्तों सा शौक़ पालोगे
तो शेरों सी बादशाहियत कहाँ से मिलेगी

गैरों की महफ़िल सजाओगे
तो अपनों की अहमियत कहाँ से मिलेगी!

Keel diya lafzon se apne,
tum ne un gunehgaaron ko,
Ye padh kar jarur sharam aai hogi,
un begaerat begaaron ko.
