दूरी नहीं, फिर भी देरी

खामोशी अख्तियार करते हुए
सह रहा, वो आम है नागरिक
कहने को हर रास्ता उसके लिए
तंग गलियों की भीड़ में, फ़िर भी
मजबूरन, होना पड़ा उसे शामिल।
खुश था दिल, आसां हुई थी मंज़िल
पर बंद हुए रास्ते, और फिर हुई साज़िश
क्या यही तरक्की होती है,
फुसफुसाते लोग कह रहे
नहीं भाई, ये राजनीति होती है।
वो माने भी कैसे, हालात हुए ऐसे
घर से दो कदम की दूरी, फ़िर भी
फासले मिटने में रोज़ होने लगी देरी
और बिन बुलाए मेहमान का कब्ज़ा,
जाए कहां, किसे पुकारे, आख़िर वो है सिर्फ़ आम नागरिक।
