Wanted to fix, all those pieces of heart that he never broke.
Everytime he saw her tying her ribbon,
and stretched forehead, and spark in her eyes
that was clearly there.

एक हाथ में आवारगी थी, एक हाथ में रवानगी
दोनो हाथों से जिंदगी को खूब बजाया,
खुद भी तराने सुने, गैरों को भी सुनाया
यार भी खूब मिले, उन्हें भी हंसाया गुसाया
धीरे धीरे सयाने हुए, आवारगी नाराज हुई
रवानगी आगाज हुई
दोस्त उदास हुए
रवानगी को दरकिनार किया, आवारगी को भुलाया
फिर दोनो हाथों से यारो को बचाया
गले से लगाया और आशियाना बनाया
आशियाने के आंगन में मोहब्बत से फूल लगाए
सभी यार एक एक अपने साथ लेके गए
और आशियाने में बची रही सिर्फ इनायते

इनायाते जमा करी, मिन्नत करी, रवानगी को बहलाया
फुसलाया
अकेलेपन में काफी याद वो आया
रवानगी तो मानी नहीं, आवारगी को फिर मैने बुलाया
सयानेपन में आवारगी रमती नहीं
आशियाने में ठहरती नही।
तो अब कोई आशियाना नही, बेशुमार आवारगी हीं सही
सयाने सिर्फ नाम के, नाम हमारे कोई जमीं नही
जिंदगी भर तो तराने बजाए, तरानों की कोई कमी नही
बैठो तो सुनाऊं किस्से, मुझ जैसे किस्से कहीं और नहीं।

I'm not entirely sure
Where i lost myself.

Maybe it was in those 8 hours of classtime
Lost in notes and due dates
Equations and definitions...

During handshakes with strangers or
Old friend who I no longer
Know the whereabout of...

Was it in love lost and forgotten ?
Perhaps words and friendly exchanges
Greetings and goodbyes...

Did i lose myself somewhere along those roads
Driven in late nights
To places with people whose
faces i won't ever recall...
Did i leave myself behind the books or the shows or at the cinemas ?
In lonely coffee shops ?
Or crowded concert halls?

Or maybe it was in ticking of clocks
And the counting of time
Waiting for the better times
That never came.

Came to think of it
I'm not entirely sure I lost myself
I'm not entirely sure I ever had myself...

May be all these places
Are where I've found myself.
