In a world full of ROSES be my PEONIES.

Night after night,
I have seen her
read, write and sometimes
cry herself to sleep.
I wonder how she wakes up
every morning
with that sunshine smile
and walks as if
the peonies by the driveway
bloomed only for her.

The little peony by the driveway,
Doesn't care about previous night's storm.
The next morning it blooms
with all it's warmth.
And if it can make a single soul smile,
Then may be it was all worth it.
