Today is Bhadrapad month's Ninth day Jeshtha Gauri Visarjana.Visarjana means asking God to release his power from idol and gently drown an idol into River or Well.
In Konkan in morning worship of God Vakratunda and Paramatma Mother Gauri is performed by devotee. Jaggery has placed as Naivaidya. Maher Vasinies girls who go to other people's houses after marriage have returned to home to pay their respect to Paramatma Gauri.
In Third prahar which is measurement of time for afternoon, food plate placed in front of them. In evening Aarti melodious mantras has been conducted followed by Garhana asking for forgiveness and strength. Idol of Parmatma Gauri has been taken near well or river by Lady of house. No men are allowed to do visarjana of her idol and ladies do fun by teasing & forcing each other to take name of their husband in melodious form called as
Ukhana.Plant of Turmeric has
been potted into soil.
After Visarjana
droomstick vegetable and
Bhakari served
to all the devotees as
Naivaaidya from Parmatma.

In puranas and from our ancestors story goes like this In bhadrapad month's forth day which is called chaturthi in Sanskrit, God Ganesha created by goddess of Prakriti Parvati but due to anger of Paramatma Shiva. Parmatma took away life of God Vinayaka but then again wispered life into him with elephant head. He gave him first place during every worship also called as "Prathampujya"
Today in Konkan, idol of God Ganpati held on head by elders & braught him to home.With scared mantras places him into home,serves him his favourite Modak as Naivaidya. They do garhana which is asking for forgiveness & strength to fight with incoming bad situations

Speaciality of this word is it is made up of Harit and aalika which belongs to Mahadev and Aadhishakti Parvati.
Today is the day when AadhiMaya started her Limitless Yogasadhana to have Shiv Shankar as her better half.
Today Konkan's married women do fast for the day and this fast will be broken on second day only.

In Tretayuga, daughter of Earth Janaki Maata conducted Parmatma Gauri vrata to have Parmatma Ramchandra as Soulmate.
In Konkan today Idol of Goddess of Prosperity Gauri will have Sari draped around her and jewellery adding more Beauty to her Natural stance. Plant of Turmeric kept near Idol and lady of house will fill her Oti which is part of Sari tied around waist act as big pocket filled with Rice, Coconut and places Kumkum and Turmeric on her Head. In other houses of village,they put five Turmeric leaves filled with Cashews, Almonds, peanuts, flower petals, Kumkum and Turmeric powder on each leaf into Sup. Newly married couple will get first chance to worship Parmatma Gauri called as Vavasa and other married women will fill her Oti. After Garhana asking for forgiveness in melody, drumsticks vegetable and Bhakari placed as Naivaidya to her.
All married Women will carry their sup and bow down to all married Men for their blessings then
bow down to each others.
They go to each house to take
blessings of God
Vighnaharata and elders.
In evening Bhajan
and Fugadi an old dance form of Konkan carried out.

Bhadrapad month is known as middle point of year. Today is sixth day of Bhadrapad month called as Suryashashti in Sanskrit.Today worship of God of Light Sun been conducted by pouring water called as Ardhya in Sanskrit.
In Konkan daily worship of God Ganaraya is performed by removing old flowers and try to clean idol by less disturbing God Ekdanta. In the morning, the process is attempted by applying Gandha, Kumkum and placing new flowers on his feet.Little mantras called as Arati in Sanskrit has been recieted with burning coal mixed with scented elements in it. The mixture moved around God Bhalchandra to make his place more comfortable. During evening worship, same process is repeated with replacement of flowers
with Ballot papers.

In Puranas story goes like this while one couple was working in their farm, lady started with women's problem. Unknowingly they have broken rule of society which caused them in bad animal's life in next Life. Parmatma Bramha suggested them to do some vrata to get over this rage. It is called as Hrishi Panchami Vrata of Seven sages Hrishi.
In Konkan, Mouse🐀 lifted God Ganpati bappa through their journey so to make him happy they give him Khir (sweet dish made of milk) as Naivaidya. Khir is also kept in farm for him. This special day is called as Undiraki.

ट्रेनमधून लटकलो पडलो तरी विचार नाही केला आम्ही...
लाखो करोडोंचा जीव दावणीला लावला जरी आम्ही...

शहरांच्या बकाल झोपडपट्टीत बायको पोरांना ठेवले आम्ही...
कधी रोख कधी ऊधारीने दिवस ढकलले जरी आम्ही...
.....तरी कोकणाला नाही विसरलो.....
शहरात राहताना अनेक कठीण पावसाळे पाहिले आम्ही...
भिजून गेलो थकून गेलो पण थांबलो नाही जरी आम्ही...
.....तरी कोकणाला नाही विसरलो.....
संप असो वा बंदाची आंदोलने कधीही नाही घाबरलो आम्ही...
कोरोनाच्या भितीने मात्र गलितगात्र झालो जरी आम्ही...
