Now this is the land of sadness
Where none can live with happiness
Everywhere sad and gloomy faces are seen
How wailing and crying people have been
This was a place of comfort for soul and mind
Where people were so innocent and extreamely kind
Now this is the land of sadness
Where no language or smiling is found..

And people call it "Kashmir The paradise on Earth"
While i call it "home"

Farigh na hai zulm se abi ye farsh-e-khaak
Thamaa na hai makhluk ka ye abi katl-e-aam
Tareekh gawa hai iss Jannat-e-benazir ki
Shahadat aam hai jiss wadi-e-khaas ki
Iss mitti mai khoon daba hai ktne Shaheedo ka
Jiske Daaman mai narmi hai inhe samaane ka
Intizar krti hai harr maa apne lokht-e-jigr ka
Jo qaidi hai iss zulm bhari duniya ke shikanje ka
Shahadat hii takdeer hai meri ragg ragg mai
Khoon hii toh basa hai meri nass nass mai
Mai hii toh hu jisse log Jannat kehte hai
Ma hii toh hu jisse log Kashmir kehte hai

Ek aisi hawa chal rahi hai
Jaha par khoon ki nadiyan beh rahi hai
Jawaan uth rahe hai
Lashe bich rahi hai
Maao ke laal chin rahe hai
Asmaan ka rang surukh horha hai
Mai Kashmir ki waadi hu
Sadiyo se yehi dekh rahi hu
