Nurtured you, spoken to you
A language only you and I knew
Sound was the touch before you felt
My skin on your tiny fingers
Your moves were the sight before
I knew what a miracle looked like
The joy you bring as I proudly look at you
For making me, me - a mom!
I long to hold you again, rock you as you cry
I long to wipe your tears, focus on your joy
I wish time would not hold me here
But bring my past or take me to future
Where I hadnt a day without cuddling you
The monster is here to stay for long
And we have to be strong
