Do you recall that day? I was leaving for hostel. Matching Ma's pace, you came to see me off at the door. As always, competing with Ma, to win my affection. You had called me out, to which I had feigned ignorance. Agitated and angry, you had hurled yourself between me and Ma. You impatient girl! Laughing, then teasing, I had embraced you. Only to end up smeared with your kisses, my face sticky and wet.
It was the last time we met...

Almost half a decade has passed since then. Yet, the shock of losing you still haunts me. Even today, when I return home, my eyes betray reality, in your pursuit. My ears, ever expecting, strain to hear your voice. My arms, still wide open, seek your love. My face, a barren canvas, waits for all the affection you would paint.

Girl, you were the one for me! My first friend, my protector, my gaurdian on fours. You were the witness to all my misdeeds. Often my partner in crime sharing Ma's rebukes. Oh that guilty look of yours. Priceless!

A year has four seasons.
Summer, winter, autumn and spring.
Climaxes come in fours.
Hot, cold, rainy and windy.

A man has four life stages.
Birth, youth, middle, and old age.

A hour has four fifteen minute intervals.
A minute also has four fifteen second intervals.

Atleast some things still come in fours.
How amazing is that now for fours?
