শুধু কথা আসে কানে

শুধু আগুন ছিটিয়ে আছে চারপাশে
হঠাৎ করে চিড়চিড় থেকে দাউদাউ,
জ্বলন্ত দেশের মাঝে আমি বসে যেন একা!
কবিতা আগুন ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে চারধারে
কাগজের দেশে আমি একা বসে আছি শুধু।

জীবন্ত নিরাকার কথা ছুটন্ত দ্রুত আশেপাশে
কানে কেবল কথা আসে; মাঝেমাঝে তর্জমা
শব্দের ফুলকি। বাহির-চোখে শব্দছাড়া
আর কিছু আছে কি? এক মহালেখনী,
শব্দের আলপথ, অতঃপর হেঁটে চলেছি।

মাঝপথে মধ্যরাত জাগে, নৈশব্দ ফিসফাসে
কথা বলে। ওই রাত্রিবুকে যতো চাঁদ-তারা-দূরত্ব
ফিক করে হেসে ফেলে, তবুও তারা কথা বলে।
এতো কথা, শেষমেশ কোলাহল; মাথা চাড়া দেয়
আমি বস্তাবাঁধা করি কথাগুলো, নিয়ে বাড়ি ফিরি।
বাড়ি কথা বলে!
