Not every sad person jumps into the ocean to drown themselves, a few might have wanted to drown their grief.

Sometimes the arid air envelopes me, seeps inside through the pores of my skin and echoes emptiness.

Dark times are here
Can you hear the cheer
Of the crows
Silently creeping on their sleeping enemies
Can you smell the rotten air
That fills the nose with
Nothing but despair
Can you hear me screaming
Calling out your name
You are in pain
I am in pain
But there's no light
To this never-ending night

A week of moping around,
and I feel sunny again.
A week of feeling under the blues
pulled over windows, too heavy drapes
the dead weight of nothingness,
but lights have formed cracks
and proudly walked in, again.
As they always have, and I suspect, always will-
under the darkest corner of the night sky,
with a promise of dawn,
those dwarfish, obstinate warriors of hope.
