The fact that #marriagestrike is trended by some men against criminalising marital rape is one of the very reasons why the concept of consent needs to be taught from an early age.
What else shall one expect from a society which encourages dilogues like 'Ladaki ki na mai bhi haa hoti hai', 'Haasi tho faasi' and so on.
A 'No' means No. It doesn't have multiple meanings. Marriage doesn't mean consent. This really needs to be understood. A lot of girls, women face sexual harrasment in the name of marriage.
Consent is important, and so is the need for some men to educate themselves and respect it.
