Asthma acts like a mischievous lover. Chokes you at times of extreme sorrow, also makes you breathless at times of extreme joy

आम नही, खास सी है।
बात साँस की है।
दिन ढले बेचैनी सी होती है।
करवाते बदल बदल के वो सोती है।
कुछ गले मे फस गया, ऐसी टिस होती है।
साँस ना आने पर वो खूब रोती है।
रीढ़ की हड्डी भी साथ छोड़ देती है।
यह अस्थमा नासूर जैसी चीज होती है।
एक तलक inhaler का सहारा है।
उसके एक अश्क़ के बाद
हर सपना प्यारा है।

एक दिन किस्से ,कहानी ,शायरी खत्म हो जाएगी
इस दवाई के साथ।
घुटन के पल से आज़ादी मिल जाएगी उस रात

being asthmatic,
aching in your absence,
longing for your presence,
will surely,
suffocate to death,
without you.

When someone says (romantically) " I will steal your breaths"

Then people like me (asthma patients) - Please dude we're already short of oxygen and you heartless one planning to kill us!
