पाण्याची तहान कंठास ठाऊक
पाण्याला’बा त्याची कोण जाण
आडाच्या कुशीत लुप्त सारे
राहाटाला आता तोंड नाही

मैलोमैल असा मृगजळ दिसे
जल ढुंढाळण्याची शर्थ आता
पाण्यविना जड अवघड घडं
बुडाला खचला गर्व आज
