"She wasn't hot", I thought. just, a clumsy,chubby, shy girl of barely 5 ft. How she made it to the Mechanical Engineering department- our Royally All Boys department, is beyond our understanding.
Not that she was any of our concern because she wasn't hot or pretty.
But she ignored us too. Unlike others, she wasn't intimidated by us being "The Group of Boys".

That was something we could not bear.
So we started pranking her.
It started with stealing her library books, soiling her drawing sheets, eating her tiffin everyday, stealing her inhaler, writing on her napkin, calling her names loudly...

But we still got no reaction.

Then came a day when I was left alone badly injured due to a brotherly brawl. I was out of breath, I wasn't carrying my phone. I searched for my inhaler but it wasn't in my pocket...

At a time when I could hardly keep my eyes and senses open, someone forced open my mouth and inserted an inhaler.
"Breathe," was all she said.

No one thought she would help... Us of all people. I heard her roommate asking her why she helped...
"They're in my department and blood is thicker than water," was all she said.
